Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis (OPK)

Oceanside, California's Most Active Service Organization

As of May 21, 2016, OPK stands at 30 members (13 women and 17 men). Our membership consists of the actively employed, actively employed in second careers after retirement and fully retired. Over 40% of the members are women. Our average membership varies between 40 and 60 members

We have been serving the youth and the community of Oceanside, California since February 24, 1981 when the Club was granted it's charter. The bulk of our community and youth service is done by our major committees of Youth Service, Community Service, Sponsored Youth, Young Children: Priority One, Senior Services, and Human and Spiritual Values. We are a breakfast club. Our meetings feature a traditional hearty breakfast that features five options from a full breakfast to a continental breakfast; excellent programs and speakers; lots of fun and fellowship. There is a strong sense of pride in our accomplishments, along with a spirit of family, and feeling of belonging. Eliminate Project:
The Elminate Project


Child ID

Second graders have both their photos and their fingerprints recorded and sent home to their parent in this annual Young Children's project. All of the elementary schools in the Oceanside Unified School District (OUSD) take part in this School Board approved activity. As of May 20. 2016 almost seventeen thousand (17,000) children have been through the process.

Beach Fun Day:

An annual event where kids from Oceanside Unified School District Elementary schools get to spend a day at the beach.
